Parties are cousins, used to live togethere, were very closed, they had in total 8 kids living with them. Plaintiff claims defendant left belongings at her place after moving out. Defendant claims she was forced out by the plaintiff, and, she is not allowing her to get her property. After defendant had a car accident, plaintiff offered to have her and her 5 children at her house, for $450, which included utilities only. Defendant says that the agreement was to include everything, food also. They had a written agreement showed as evidence, which stated, food is not included, the rent $450 a month. Per plaintiff defendant only paid 2 months, stayed there 8 months without paying, her stuff is still at the house. Defendant claims she bought everything at the house that is why she stopped paying. Judge awarded 5 month of storage fees to plaintiff at $150 a month; explained that he would have awrded 8 months of rent as they had it writing, but plaintiff mistakenly sued for storage fees and not rent.
