Plaintiffs claim they contracted defendants to cater their wedding, they never showed up. Defendants claim that the day of the wedding their catering director was driving an electric car, left late and ran out of battery; they apologized an refunded the deposit and offered a $500 certificate, the food never arrived. They did not have a written contract. Defendants had to send someone to buy chicken from Popeyes. The judge ruled in favor of the plaintiff for $2000.
