QUICK OVERVIEW

Plaintiff is suing defendant for the cost of repairing a bad car he sold to them, $761.43.

EPISODE DESCRIPTION

Defendant claims the car had 160,000.00 miles, 14 years old, plaintiff should have know that with that amount of mileage anything bad can happen to a car, hwe says he is not responsible as the car was not his anymore. Plaintiff showed an email correspondence with defendant the day before they paid for it, where defendant says the car is in perfect condition, no problem at all, they did not ask a mechanic to look at it; a couple of days later the engine light came up, they contacted defendant he said that never happened to him. Plaintiff also claims that the car caught fire, it was in terrible condition, and believes defendant knew it. Defendant claims when he received the call that the car was on fire, plaintiffs were asking for a total refund, not to pay for the damages only, he decided to stop answering the phone. Defendant never said he only had the car for 3 days. Although the Judge does not support the defendants actions, she must rule in his favor per law as the car did not belong to him at the moment.
