Parties had a written lease. Plaintiff had to evict her when defendant told her her apartment was illega and stopped paying rent; also claims that defendant was inconsistent with the rent payments. The Judge went for a conference call to find out in fact the apartment has a lot of violations, although tenant was not paying rent for her claim to be valid. Ruled in favor of the plaintiff for half of the rent, minus the $850 secuirty deposit, plus cleaning costs.
