EPISODE DESCRIPTION
Plaintiff claims she hired the defendant to do a job in the cellar at her house, fix the ceiling, floors and paint some walls, she have him $1000 deposit; she claims he never showed up, said he was in a car wreck, on the day he was supposed to start, she called him several times after that, 2 months have passed and nothing has been done, she now wants her money back. Defendant claims the day he was supposed to start, he did show up but the plaintiff was nowhere to be found, found out a week later she went to Barbados, he has been trying to start the job but has been unable to contact the plaintiff. Plaintiff showed text messages as evidence, defendant did you show any evidence at all, did not come prepare, laughed about it, therefore, was thrown out of the Court by the Judge. The Judge ruled in favor of the plaintiff, $1000, plus Court costs, and pre judgements statutory interest of the amount owed.
